How to add a sitemap to your Blogger website

To add a sitemap to your Blogger website, you can use a third-party tool such as XML Sitemaps to generate the sitemap, then upload it to your website's root directory and submit it to Google Search Console.

Here are the steps to do this:

1. Go to the XML Sitemaps website and enter your blog's URL to generate a sitemap.
2. Download the generated sitemap file.
3. Go to the Blogger dashboard and select the blog you want to add the sitemap to.
4. In the left sidebar, click on "Settings."
5. Click on "Search Preferences."
6. Scroll down to the "Custom Robots.txt" section and click on "Edit."
7. In the editor, add the following line at the end:

Sitemap: [yourblog].blogspot.com/sitemap.xml

8. Click on "Save Changes"
9. Upload the sitemap.xml file to your website's root directory via FTP.
10. Go to Google Search Console and submit your sitemap.
11. Verify your website if it is not already verified.
12. Once your website is verified, click on the "Sitemaps" button in the left sidebar.
13. Type in the name of your sitemap file: "sitemap.xml" and click on the "Submit" button.

Once you've created and submitted your sitemap, search engines will use it to discover and index your website's pages, which can help improve your website's visibility in search engine results. It's important to keep your sitemap updated as you add new content to your website.
